Electric Panels

Our licensed electricians install the panel and wiring upgrades your home needs to power today’s heat pumps and tomorrow’s electric equipment.

Building Obstacles

If structural issues are stopping your progress, First Light coordinates the repairs needed to keep your project on track.

Energy Program Management

We handle the complex rebate applications and paperwork required to maximize the savings from your utility programs.

Navigating Home Upgrades

In Massachusetts, a simple energy project can get messy fast. You might find yourself stuck in the middle, trying to get the HVAC guy to talk to the electrician, or waiting on a weatherization crew that can't start until a structural issue is fixed. Based in Pembroke and serving Plymouth County, First Light installs your heat pumps, insulation, and air sealing with our own HPIN team, then lines up the electricians and any structural work around that. We stay in the middle of the moving parts so you don’t have to chase different contractors. There is a pile of program paperwork that has to be just right, or you lose your rebates. We handle the rebate applications and state program rules while we complete the work, so your project and your savings stay on track.

Programs

Mass Save

Mass Save offers rebates, assessments, and financing to help Massachusetts homeowners upgrade to efficient equipment. First Light walks you through eligibility, then installs the qualifying heat pumps and weatherization work under the program.

HEARTWAP

HEARTWAP focuses on emergency heating system repairs and replacements for income‑qualified households. First Light helps you get into the program and handles the on‑site replacement work once funding is approved.

WAP

The Weatherization Assistance Program pays for insulation, air sealing, and other measures that cut energy waste for eligible homes. First Light manages the paperwork, scopes the project, and completes the weatherization installs.

NEHPA (New England Heat Pump Accelerator)

NEHPA is a five‑state, EPA‑funded effort that provides instant discounts on heat pumps and heat pump water heaters through participating contractors through 2029. First Light applies those NEHPA discounts directly to your quote and install.

Municipal Rebates

Outside Mass Save territory, 41 municipal light plants offer their own heat pump rebates — often around $500 per ton for air‑source heat pumps, plus a state sales tax break on qualifying systems. First Light understands these local programs and structures your heat pump install to capture every municipal rebate available.

Behind the scenes, we use tools like Rewiring America’s incentive calculator to stack every rebate you qualify for, and we only install equipment that meets Energy Star efficiency standards.

Labor Protection

Through our equipment partnership, qualifying installs benefit from extended labor coverage that eliminates surprise repair bills. Our certified technicians perform all work to the highest standards, ensuring long-term comfort tied to a clear maintenance schedule you can trust.
